Intimacy with Kyohei

Kyohei Hattori is a photographer and model. "I went to collage in Osaka but I got bored and came to Tokyo." 9 years ago, he started modeling and then after taking photography. As he says "In photography, I can reflect what I think in daily life. Model is usually in passive position, but photography is to take leads, I enjoy that balance." He would keep living in Tokyo because "I was born in Japan and I only speak in Japanese, so it's natural for me to stay in Japan. But you would get insensitive if you stay in the same place for long, so I always try to have different and fresh perspectives."

Family: Dad, Mom, brother

The challenge you have: To shoot portraits, and romance.

Movie you like: "Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995)"

写真家でモデルの服部恭平。「大阪で学生をしていたけど、面白くなくて辞めて上京」し、9年ほど前からモデル活動を開始。それから写真家としてデビュー。「写真は、毎日生活する中で感じたことを反映できる。モデルは基本的に受け身だけど、写真の方は自分で行動できるからその両方のバランスが心地よい」と、カメラの裏と表を自由に行き来する。「写真を撮るということは、撮らせてくれる人やモノがないと成り立たない。当たり前のように成立してるけど、そこの怖さは常に感じててその分感謝を込めている。モデルも逆なだけで同じこと。」引き続き日本で活動を続けていくそうで、「僕は日本人で日本語しか話せなくて、だから日本でやることはとても自然で当たり前のことだと思う。でも同じ場所にいすぎると感覚がなまってしまう気がするので、たまに場所を変えて外から見ることも必要だと思います。」

家族構成：父、母、兄、僕

自分にとって今やってるチャレンジングなこと、難しいと思うこと：人を撮ること。あと恋愛。

好きな映画：『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン』（1995）
